Our Strategic Alignment

Working from home is not a new phenomenon. However, since the pandemic, the number of employees doing so has significantly increased. Occupational health and safety for a remote work environment needs to comply with Australian federal and state legislation. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure their employees’ home infrastructure (also known as remote workplaces) is verified and deemed safe.

Home Shored Services supports employers to create safer work environments for personnel who are working from home.

COMPLIANCE

Home Shored Services bridges the chasm between boardroom intent and household reality. Drawing on cross-industry experience in electrical safety, risk engineering, and integrated management systems, we provide Australia’s first turnkey framework to make home workspaces legally compliant, insured, and productivity-ready.

We have created a detailed suite of procedures for accreditation purposes, ensuring home workplaces are compliant with the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

REDUCE LIABILITY

Insurers are increasingly scrutinising liability for risks that originate in the home, such as electric shocks, lithium-ion battery fires, and controlling foreseeable hazards. Ambiguities around the definition of the ‘place of employment’ can delay or invalidate claims, leaving employers exposed to financial and reputational risk.

We deliver practical, standards-aligned solutions that help organisations protect their liability position and demonstrate due diligence. Our objective is to establish the gold standard in working-from-home compliance.
